An estimated 40,460 women will die from breast cancer. An estimated 2,030 men will be diagnosed and 450 will die of breast cancer. Breast cancer does not discriminate. It affects both women and men everywhere, regardless of ethnic, social or economic backgrounds. Its emotional and physical effects are devastating not only to those diagnosed, but to family members and friends as well. “Many of the entries in our Story Of Your Life contest are survivor stories written by mothers, daughters, sisters and friends,” explains Lux. “The courage shown by those facing the disease is amazing. With support from family and friends they remain hopeful and steadfast in their fight against breast cancer.” Rembrandt will run a “Pink Ribbon” campaign during the month of October, breast cancer awareness month. The campaign will promote the sale of the pink ribbon charm through Rembrandt’s 7,500 retail jewelers, asking consumers to wear a charm to show their support. Rembrandt Charms offers thousands of handcrafted charms, the world’s largest collection, in sterling silver and karat gold. Jewelers have relied on Rembrandt Charms’ superior quality for over 40 years.
